The 21st Anniversary of MaidARA
NoOn attaining their 21st
Anniversary MaidARA, along with several other ARAs, were presented with a
certificate of achievement by KentARA in the form of a rolled up scroll, at
the Annual General Meeting.
MaidARA have since then had this scroll mounted and framed to
form an attractive certificate with the cost borne by KentARA.
MaidARA celebrated their 21st Anniversary with a party at
their May meeting that was attended by some 120 members who were joined in
their celebrations by the Mayor and Mayoress of Maidstone Mike and Maureen
FitzGerald who undertook to cut the cake and are photographed with 5 of the
original members of the club. Everyone had a slice of the cake and a glass of
champagne and danced and sang to the ‘Coconut Grove Steel Band’ from Oakwood
Grammar School.
